The timer on my Dualit Marmite toaster has stopped
As with all clockwork mechanisms, they all have springs and gears and side plates, they are not too hard to fix, as long as you don't release the spring, then it's a mission to get it back, into the container, (it's a bit like toothpaste comes out easy very hard to put it back into the tube)..So careful removal, and maybe just cleaning out may help, toasters are fairly simple devices, as you will see if you disassemble, remove the wires from the Timer, write down draw a diagram of where they went, now, have a good look, and maybe even do a rough drawing of how it all looks, no, give it a good clean, and grease up, and maybe you can save it. if it has open set contacts, then clean them with fine sandpaper, tighten everything up, and test it. When all is well, put back into the toaster and wire back up, check over again, and power up, stand back, and admire your work, well hopefully. Be very careful of the Elements they are very fragile...
