You need to check your SAFETY beam
the two little black boxes on both sides of your garage door
(typically about ONE foot above the floor level...
should be showing a green & a red light when pointed
DIRECTLY at each-other )).

Red = unbroken beam.
Green = Power on.

You can HOLD down the WIRED button
to override this SAFETY feature....

Do check your owners manual.

it is possible you OUTAGE fried your electronics
but the most common cause is these BOXES are't
properly aligned.

f the remotes will still open the door but it will only close if you hold the button down on the wall control continuously then you likely have an issue with the safety sensors.

There is a safety sensor mounted near the floor on either side of the door, these sensors have electronic "eyes" that have to "see" each other or the door control stops the garage door from closing. The idea is to prevent the door from closing on something or someone who may be in the way. When you continuously hold down the close button in the garage you are over-riding this system.

An intermittent alignment issue with the sensors or damaged sensor wiring or a failing sensor could sometimes make it impossible for the system to determine if anything is under the door and, again, it will prevent the door from closing normally.

Each sensor has an LED on it, if one LED is off or faint or flickering the sensors are out of alignment. The mount bracket might have loosened or bent, or maybe the nuts holding it have loosened. Either way, fix the mount or tighten the nuts so the sensors are aligned and both LEDs are bright.
If neither sensor has an LED lit, you may have damaged wiring to the sensors. Often this happens if the wires were mounted with a standard stapler and the wire is pinched. The wire eventually breaks internally and the sensors stop working.

The overhead lights might also flash 10 times if you try to close the door and there is a sensor problem. Your opener may also have a

Lock Feature

that could stop the remotes from working, indicated by a flashing light on the wall control, but normally this feature would not require continuously holding the button to close the door.

If everything checks out, it is possible there is a problem with the control in the opener itself, but normally a problem here will not allow the door to open normally or allow you to over-ride the controls to close it.

you did not state what paint, on what surface, what is temperature and humidity.

paint usually do not dry if it is two pack and you used only part a (body of the paint) and did not add any part b (hardener). hardener allow chemical reaction to occur and creates then solid, this type of paint is often used on car bodies, boats, hard wearing flooring and similar surfaces. if this is the case, you need to strip and clean whole area, prepare it again, whip off with weak solution of appropriate solvent mixed with bit of hardener (about 1hardener to 25solvent by volume should be fine) rest it for 48hrs, fine abrade with 120 or 150 paper or screen and then paint again following instructions on the label. this usually involves two parts urethane based paints.

another - it can be oil paint - oil paints,, especially good quality (artist quality), based on linseed or cannabis oil, take up to few years to dry, they drying process is affected as well by humidity and temperature, if temperature drops below 10centigrade (50f) process of drying virtually stops, it will fully stop at about 2 to 4 centigrade (35f - 40f), humidity will greatly affect this process as well, very low humidity (below 10%) and very high humidity (above 80%) will hamper drying process, low by forming impenetrable surface skin and not allowing body of the paint to dry, high by preventing vapour pressure to evaporate.

please provide bit more info and then we may find better advice...
