What size is the battery for the remote?
Normally when you take the little battery slider out it will say on the slider itself, or right near it on the remote. They are generally Nickel to Quarter sized batteries that you can buy at Walgreens or CVS. I think it's a 2025 button cell.Hope this helps! Don't forget to rate!
My dvd gaves me a bad disc
when you play nothing but bootlegs in a dvd player, they tend to burn out the eye inside the player to where it will only read bootlegs. the original movies capabilities won't work anymore. hope this is a help to you my friend.
Doesn't load the disk
Someone needs to open it to SEE what is happening--if the unit holds more than one disc (model seems to indicate that) you likely have a mechanism problem with something jammed or even broken--mechanism could also be out of alignment which is a task for a pro.Look and see what is happening is first thing needed here.
Power light stays orange
The problem is in the power supply board, usually caused by one or more open capacitors, sometimes leaving a bulge at the top.
Remote doesn't work. Battery checks out.
The remote itself can easily be tested--most electronics repair places have a tester--point remote at it and press button and tester reacts with a light etc--some digital cameras will do the same on the display screen.Common issues with remotes that have been stored are batteries leak and tabs and springs that connect do not work--good cleaning with a sharp knife or small file will resolve that but if the leak got inside the remote it can be fatal.First step is test the remote---other possible reason is remote sensor on front is dirty (blocking signal) or defective.
Why do dvd players say no disc when there is one
This can be caused by several different things. It may be the read head assembly needs to be cleaned, the disc cannot be recognized. Or it could be a disc format which the player does not work with. Check the owner's manual for compatible disc formats. the Disc may be damaged or needs to be cleaned. The disc may need to be finalized by the recorder it was recorded on if a recordable disc. This is not the case for DVD-video as these are stamped discs.
You can try a cleaning disc but it may not solve the problem.
Inspect and clean the disc and try again.
Having the disc head assembly cleaned may be the answer but the service cost could be more than just buying a new player.
