sound like the screen control on the flyback is set just a little too high. the flyback has the red wire attached to the tube. the flyback has 2 small adjustable controls. if you look close enough 1 is marked focus & on is screen. turn the screen slightly to the left & look at your picture. the screen is like a master brightness & if it's up too high you will see what is called retrace lines. good luck.

Both previous solutions are correct, but there may be another step. Sometimes the switches are hard to see because they are small and hide near the antenna in and out jacks. But some newer VCR's don't have a selector switch at all. To choose between channel 3 and channel 4 output, you need to use the VCR's setup menu. So if you can't find a switch like the other posters mentioned, check the VCR setup menu for an output channel selection. Then, as previously mentioned, make sure that the VCR output channel is added to your TV's channel lineup.

If you find a solution not exactly what you need, or not clear enough, please post a followup before giving negative ratings (thanks for trying or not appropriate). While those of us who take time to answer questions and try to help here don't get paid, we are more likely to be taken seriously if our ratings stay up. At the very least, both of the previous solutions should have been ranked helpful, because they are correct and should have given you the advice you needed.

Oh, one last thing: In posting, using all capital letters makes it hard to read, and is the equivalent of shouting. Please turn off the caps lock key. Thanks!

Are the batteries good? Do you see any lights (if it has any) when you press any of the buttons? It this a universal remote? Have you programmed the remote for your TV?

not enough information... when the tv is on standby then there should be a led on...what happens when on is pushed...is the light then flashing or remains the same...starting point is to check the powersupply rails... a circuit would be helpfull. This tv is an old CRT type which would have a b+ rail of aprox 150v and how that rail is set up is important (feedback and protection may shut down the rail)

Use code search on your URC to find something that works. If a search through all codes stored in the URC fails, you will have to try a different one.
