Hooking up the speaker to
You should NOT under any circumstances connect an audio input lead to a speaker output jack!
The RCA jacks you are trying to take output from ore "pre fader" which would be solid "line level" and not controlled by volume controls. Tap off the INPUT to the amp... you should be using balanced lines for the interconnects. RCA jacks are unbalanced lines. You can drive several inputs from a line level output of a mixer for example using a splitter cable.
Harbinger ha120 no sound to speakers. What's wrong?
It could be a number of things. Does the head light up when turned on? Are the controls on the channel turned up? Is the master turned up? Have you checked continuity on the cables? Have you tried the speakers with another amp, or the amp with other speakers? This will help narrow down the problem.
Speaker shorted out
If you do not have training in electronics you can cause serious damage to yourself trying to fix this. You will need to take this into the shop.
Peavey cs1000 x
The most likely case is that one of the main output transistors (if which there are many) is shorted. When the protect circuit senses DC on the final output, it will not allow the output relay to come on to protect the speakers from raw DC. With the power removed, you can check between each outputs Emitter and Collector and you will probably find close to zero ohms. From that point you need to unsolder each of the pins of the bad channel until you find the shorted device(s) and replace them.

No or very little sound from Fender passport
Depending on the model, there are four around that date, it could be the insert jacks are tarnished reducing the signal flow between the pre amp stage and digital power amplifier. It could be the power amplifier has failed. It could even be customer error in wiring.
This assumes there is the correct level of signal entering the input sockets of course.
