Open the rear cover so you can see the fuser unit. Somewhere in there you will find a paper scrap that has jammed a sensor arm. Use a torch to see it better. You may need to remove the fuser to see better.

You should be able to get an activity report through the menu key. Push the menu key and scroll to reports Push ok/set key and scroll to actitvity report. Push set/ok key, one or the other, and an activity report should print out.

The best you could do would be to Fax images.documents from your PC to this machine, that would effectively work, you would need a modem in the PC though, otherwise it will work fine... BUT not as a printer, as such. But you would still have the ability to store and manipulate the documents IN the Fax when received, and may just work, well, but with limitations?
You would simply have to dial the fax from the PC and send it to it, then it would receive,,store and print out as you wished... should/could work just as well as a wifi printer?

Scan platform in english is Were you shove the stuff to send ;) ie dirty feed roller, paper detect switch stuck or fragments of paper in original feeding paper path area or feeding stuff too thick or stiff, or if multi document issue it is the pad or roller that sits under the main feed roller...al this is nothiong to do with paper tray full of blanks it is the original feeler area on top..

Same error should occur doing local copy, check feed section/roller

open the adf cover you should find a little plastic lever which is a paper sensor it is possible that it is stuck in a open position.be sure that the lever can swing freely

Try to clear the fax, with Menu and #, then clear, and select all. Then from begining enter all parameters ( name, number, reports,... ) it should help.

Check that it is set to "auto receive" and not "manual receive"

In programming you will find under "Reports" a setting for transmission confirmation report. Typically this is not turned on as a factory setting because fo our new green attitude. It wastes paper. Any time you need to confirm a transmission you can simply press the report button( some times followed by the "Set" button) and get a list fo the last 40 transactions( incoming and outgoing combined)

Bt pressing the report button and then selecting "activity report" and then pressing the set button( in the center of the bullseye). a list of the last 40 transactioons will be printed out. Unfortunately none of the canon series units go any further back in history.

Lift the cover covering the recieving paper!If u look in here u will c a black handle with a greenish sticker on!Pull that down gently and push it up again untill it clips into place!Good Luck!

If you attempt to print any kind of report from your unit and the pages are still blank there are two posibilities.
#1 The toner cartridge tape was never pulled out correctly/ the toner cartridge might be defective.
#2 A more serious cause fo the same symtom might be a defective hi voltage section in the unit. On a newer product this is not very likely

Press Data Registration, select Timer settings, press set and you will see the time and calender. Enter each digit from left to right and then press set

Clean the glass onder the cover where the document feeds in.

E100 means that you have laser trouble, probably laser pcb is bad. Replace it.
But also check the laser shutter.

Its fixing error, replace the fixing unit.

Under user mode (MENU), there must be something like user sett.
