Dear Select COPIER>DISPLAY>DPOT in service mode. If the difference between VDM and VDT is less than 6V,then check laser scanning unit shutter mechanism. if more than 6V,then go 'Display COPIER>FUNCTION>MISC-P>PRE-EXP' in service mode.Check if the preconditioning LED lights. If the LED does not light, replace the LED. if problem not shut out check all harness related to DC CON pcb to LSU. Cross check the LSU and DCCON pcb. Check the ram cleaned. Thanks.

E602-0004 An error occurs by checking the Control Table of "Image storage area" when the machine is "ON" I would try the following, under service mode goto: Copier->Function->System Set Chk-Type to 1 Execute HD-Clear Set Chk-Type to 2 Execute HD-Clear Power the copier off then on again. Also make sure you are running system software v31.04 or later.

A E000001-0000 is a error code for the fuser unit. It means it is not warming up to correct temp. Also, it may show up after a power surge or power lose. You may be able to reset it in service mode.

this is error code for main motor failure, you can try to reconnect main motor, look for breakege of gears, reconnect dc controller, or the main motor must be replaced or dc controller, or ...

As you can see that there is a lot of things that can be fault, so call service!!!

what you will have to do is remove the back cover.
then you will need to remove the thin metal cover laying flat cover on the back half of the copier just under the doc feeder. should be 3 screws.

then there is a metal box that holds the main controller on the right. if you open that you will see the IDE cable which will run up and out of that box and will run up under a thin metal plate that should be held in by 2 screws. if you remove those screws you should be able to see the hd .
