maybe it's the file of the songs you placed has an error

I've got the same problem and wrote to iriver. Thge only suggestion they could provide me with was to replace the battery. I tried that and it didn't work. I'm at a loss alos as to how to get my T10 to power on?

Upgrade from Vista to XP

you can go to your manufacturer's website and download the driver's needed for the item.. reboot and then plug it in and see if it reads it.. sometimes you have to manually extract those files first so be sure to try that too... hope that helps..d

You may need iriver software. However may be able to through my computer. If you haven't tryed this process read the following below.

First click on "Start" then "My Computer" now find your mp3 player on there if the name hasn't been modified it should come under the name of "Removable Disk" once you have found it double-click on that then you'll be in your mp3 player now get music off your computer you wish to put on and simply just copy and paste them into your mp3 player, that's all there is to it.

First, you have to download a cd player software of some sort, i.e. itunes, wmp, or realplayer.  Once it is downloaded on to the player, you can sync your iriver with the player and you will have fun music to listen to on your mp3 player:)

i would recommend that you use the device to format it...inside the device under setting there should be a format option..use that option and see what happen

try taking out the battery and re-installing it. or try connecting to PC without a battery in it.

try another headset to be sure its a problem of the player and not broken headphones. if its the player i hope its still under warranty, else you need to open it whats wrong. hot air soldering machine is an advantage..

hold down center button for a few seconds. go to settings, then display, then name. erase old name and enter yours. for time go to settings, timer, date and time.

re-format it. on player go to settings, then advanced then format. select format, say yes and it should reboot. if that doesn't work you need to upgrade the firmware. got to iriveramerica.com, support, ultra portabale support and download firmware updater software. Not a bad idea to upgrade firmware in either case. Your music will be lost when you format but you can simply re-load it from your music manager on your PC.

You need to upgrade the firmware on your player. got to www.iriveramerica.com and download the firmware updater. then connect your player and run the update software.

go to www.iriveramerica.com. click on support, then ultra portable support, then T10. download user manual. You should also be able to download a music manager for loading music onto your player from the website. Windows media player works well. you can also use Rhapsody.
