THERE IS NO SOUND
Try a hard reset by unplugging the set for 30 secs. Then, go into the remote and make sure speakers have not been turned off.
When trying to watch the t.v. using cable input,
follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
- Reset component settings.
Usually, the problems you encounter with a projection TV may be resolved
through the resetting to its factory settings. If you experience
inaccuracies in the color, reset the television's PerfectTint/PerfectColor
capabilities. Simply press the Menu tab and then highlight "Perfect Color"
using your right key arrow. After this, press "Enter" and then "Reset" in
order to reset to factory settings. If you have audio / video problems
(VCR or DVD player), simply press "Menu" and highlight the "Reset"
option.
Reset television controls. In case you cannot fix your TV via its
component settings, there are other ways of resetting. Just select "Menu", key
in "1, 2, 3", and then press "Enter." In doing this, the TV's manufacturer's
specifications will all be restored. If your TV's power system does not
function, you should perform a complete system reset. You can do this by
clicking on Reset System button located at the TV's control panel. Your
television will be turned off and then a green light (LED) will quickly flash
for approximately one minute. Once the light has stopped flashing, your TV
should immediately turn on.
No signal
If the DVD works from rear inputs the issue is likely for the tuner in the set, Unplug power from set and any box being used for signal for several minutes and power back to see if a reboot helps.
Can't get volume on jvc hd 52g786
This set is prone to the audio board inside failing---all the audio is on one board, last one I replaced was just over 100 dollars.

No sound
I have seen several of these (some brand new) where the audio board fails, if I remember it wholesales for just under 100 but is not real easy to get at---entire audio circuit is on it.
My color off
This model from memory had issues with wrong colors, missing colors, picture backwards and picture inverted, dead set etc. If it is the model I recall--it had a primitive upgrade done by uploading two programs onto sim cards and with a desktop computer connected to the service plug inside doing the upgrades one at a time---JVC had a jig with adapter for connection to the service plug.Did not take to long and worked in almost all cases--Contact JVC and if I am correct you will need to take it to a JVC service center (any authorized repair shop)They may have by now come up with a better way to do it so do some research.

No its not dangerous, eventually the set will not power up any more and the lamp will need replacement. Having a replacement lamp ready is the best bet it only takes about 3 minutes to replace the lamp. Your model uses the TS-CL110UAA. Whcih is available with the housing from
www.tvrepairworld.com they also include installation instructions.
I have a JVC HD-52G786
I presume you have no sound via the a/v inputs as well as cable or coax input.
We do factory work for many brands including JVC.
I remember one of these sets only a few months old with no audio, JVC exchanged it as the customer was angry (understandable). Ten minutes later we get a email and a call from JVC telling us set has been exchanged and they do NOT want the old one back---do whatever we want with it.
I had tested the set, following the audio circuit to a single board that supplies all audio--board was not real easy to get at and was on "backorder" meaning lots of them were bad and JVC was out.(which is why the set got exchanged).
I had the board ordered and about ten days later the replacement arrived--installed it (it was sandwiched between two other boards) and set worked perfectly===we ended up with a nearly new set (board wholesaled for about 80 dollars) and sold the set used with an extended warranty.
My point is if no audio from tuner or rear inputs it is a shop repair as most shops will not tackle this problem in this set IN THE HOME..
If you have audio from ANY input it may not be the set.
Let me know if you have questions, I am here to help you.
