I bought the exact same unit many years earlier than you. I don't care what the so called "experts" say about negative ion generators. They do work and this unit worked especially well. I wish Zestron was still in business. I would have one of these in every room of my home. It is one of the few rare products I have owned that performed exactly as advertised.
To check the output of a negative ion generator, slowly bring your finger in towards one of the "NEEDLES" at the top of the unit. if it still works, you will see a tiny arc between the tip of the needle and your finger as you get closer. Don't worry about being shocked, the output of the unit is of such low amperage, that at most, you might feel a slight tingle.

Turn off the power button and Unplug the bug zapper. Turn off and Unplug Discharge Bent down and Remove Rotate and Replace the bulbs
