I have a Marantz tt1200 turntable, replaced the drive belt and now the metal platter is rubbing the plastic base creating a grinding sound. Can it be fixed?

The plastic base may have become warped or the metal platter was not reinstalled correctly after belt replacement.

Marantz PM 550DC amp. Hooked up speakers and left side of speaker system works fine. Right side crackles BADLY and won't come in. What's the simplest cause for this? Oxidization? Thanks

First swap wires on the input and see if same side has a problem. If not then input wires or jacks causing it. If wires swap doesnt do anything then switch speakers with wires. If that doesnt work try to clean speaker connectors but there is a big chance that amplifier need to be repaired

I have The Marantz DR4050 CD Recorder and doesnt let me record ,apear the ERROR OPC, although i use the AUDIO CDS that requires to work with, any help??

Try to use different discs. Older unit may have problem writing high speed discs. Try to find 1x or 2x discs. OPC-optical power calibration. Another possibility that yourlaser is on the way out

Marantz CD6004 coupled with Marantz PM6004 amp sound from 1 speaker only

Check to make sure your speakers are in phase. This means that they are both wired the same way. Common problem, and can damage your amplifier if not changed. Positive and Negative must be the same on all speakers.

Marantz PM-432A won't power on?

Unless you have extensive knowledge of electronics and the equipment necessary to troubleshoot the issue, I would look for a reputable repair center. The unit has components inside that eventually fail.

Marantz 201 PMD is making a sort of static humming noise when I try to monitor the noise through headphones while recording. It doesn't happen when just playing tape. What is causing this?

Hello Meredith, for what you are saying, you could have a problem in the cable that you use to send the signal you want to record, or the microphone cable or the line cable put to record the Marantz, without any cable connected to the inputs and listen with the headphones, if the hum is, if not, try to change the cables for others of the same type, if you use microphone, controls the connectors, which do not have humidity or rust in the contacts I hope you can solve the problem Greetings Franco Dosil Hola Meredith, por lo que comentas, podrias tener un problema en el cable que utilizas para enviar la se?al que quieres grabar, o el cable de micr?fono o el cable de linea pon a grabar el Marantz, sin ning?n cable conectado en las entradas y escucha con los auriculares, si el zumbido esta, si no esta, prueba cambiar los cables por otros del mismo tipo, si usas micr?fono, controla los conectores, que no tengan humedad u oxido en los contactos Espero que puedas resolver el problema Saludos Franco Dosil https://www.hifiengine.com/hfe_downloads/index.php?marantz/marantz_pmd201_221_en.pdf
