Is this the correct Model number? I looked it up and it doesn't seems to match the database. It doesn't matter if it's up or down. Experiment with the front or back. Once you get the correct placement - then you're good to go.

The answer is YES. The printer is compatible with the PC you are purchasing. The printer box comes along with Software disk for printer to be installed on WIN XP, VISTA and Windows 7.

Hello you need to download drivers from the lexmark website.
Go here and set your language and country, search for your model and choose XP, download the latest driver.

If it came with software, try uninstalling and reinstalling it and then trying again. You may also be able to go through My Computer, and click on the reader to get it to load. I can be more help if you still can't get it to work by uninstalling it (if it has that option) but I need the make and model in your next reply.

You might try installing your software, and when prompted hook up your computer to the power supply and printer plug in serial or usb.

get a new printer. Sounds like the power board went bad. Could be bad capacitors or a bad fuse but it will probably cost more to repair then to just replace the printer.

go to your local electronics dealer. compaq all use the same cord pretty much so should be around $5.

Go to compaq.com and there is a driver download section there.

plz try by reinstalling the drivers , if the problem is not solved then try by changing the cartridge.
