XP was 32 Bit for almost everyone.
If you had 64 bit the operating system is call XP 64 bit edition.
Click Start>Right Click My Computer>choose Properties.

Unplug it from your charger, remove the battery, wait 5 minutes, reattach charger without battery, turn on. when booted up reattach battery. Your system could be stuck in hibernation mode.

I think leaving your computer charging overnight is not really bad. I think there is a fault, in the power hardware of the pc.
You should see a technician..

Again, be sure that the charger is still working properly or try getting a new charger and putting on the computer, without a charger.

check audio cable to speakers
check that the cable is in the right jack
check that the speakers are on
check that the sound isn't muted side by side near the computer 's clock (strikethrough means mute)

1)Connect your cable data of your ipod with your pc
2) open itunes looking for your device in top right of your itunes page
3) select your cd player (if your file is already copy in your local disc or C:) looking for where you have previously saved your file like: my music
4) look up for sync in your itunes app after selected the directory where your music have been saved and that's it. You are welcome buy with guarantee and no more fear for your pocket

Go to device manager and then expand the network adaptor catagory and then right click on the drop downs and then click on power mgmt at the top and un check all the boxes and click on OK.. IF the issue persists then get the card replaced.

if you are pointing about the loose dc power jack adapter, i suggest you have to take it to the shop for repair. it's either you have a faulty adapter, or one or two pin doesn't have contact. usually negative contacts looses if your power button lights ups, but the MOBO doesn't get the right voltage that's why it doesn't boots up.
