https://h30434.www3.hp.com/
both laptops (the other is not stated,)
have a service manual
read it and get the part number for fan.
id bet you they are not the same fan.
why not get this LT fixed, by a real TECH.
way not ask your tech if you can supply discounted parts
we are not him, how can we speak for him(her)
if you read the book on you PC it tells you how to remove and replace the fan,.
10 step to get it out and 10 back
RTM
if this seems hard, (IT IS) then get a service man in the loop.

Scroll and caps lock light up but laptop will not open
Could be a number of things.
Could be the Hard Drive ( 320 Gb )
Could be stuck key or water damage on Keyboard/ mouse pad.
If you have the savvy to explore, remove the battery, Hard Drive and Memory.
Blow out the cooling fan area and re-install all that you removed.
Sometimes, just reseating things like memory , CPU and Hard Drive
can make the difference.
Hope this helps

My hp g56 will not power on at all
When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.
Hp g56 fan replacement/ cleaning
Sounds like it is overheating. Get a can of compressed air and clean out all the vents and fans. You can also use a vacuum with a hose attachment to clean it. You also might want to get a laptop cooler.
I cant find sata drivers
There are two ways.
If you bought a new SATA and get a blue screen when you install win. server 2003, you have to go to BIOS and change HD setting. (not on 1st page for sure. I have to what option you have.)
Or
You have to get it from HP, but I don't know whether they have or they will give you for free.
