Scansnap always disconnecting
Had the same issue with S500 Scan Snap.. Head to the Scan Snap Home Page, look for your model, most likely they is an update to the software....
Scansnap hardware error 0x00048004
I had this exact same problem. Turned out that I was using the wrong power adapter. Enough power to turn on the scanner lights and connect to the computer, but not enough to actually perform a scan. As soon as I realized I was using the wrong power cord, I switched it up and voila!
When I try to scan,
I just fixed it. Uninstall the application by choosing applications and finding scansnap. Drag the folder to the trash. power down your scanner and unplug the USB. Go to the Fujitsu website and download the software again and reinstall it. Plug in the power and USB into your scanner and everything should work fine.
Hello, I'm getting an error
Hello,
I also had this issue. I was running an older version of Scansnap Manager.
I installed the latest update Version 2.2 (January 2011) and it works fine now.

I have a Fujitsu ScanSnap
I had the exact same problem and here's what I did to fix it. The plastic part that contains the pick roller was dislocated at one side, bending it upwards in the middle. Not very noticeable. But when I slightly pressed down on it it snapped into place. Dislocation probably caused by transport. The upwards bend prevented the empty sensor from working properly. It actually almost blocked the incoming paper and then obviously did not release once the paper was through. Once the plastic part was back in place it was completely flat. Problem solved.
My scan snap scanner just
Unplug the scanner and turn off the computer unplug the computer from the outlet. Then push the power button on your computer with it unplugged.
This is a reset now plug the computer back in and restart it do not plug in the scanner yet.
Once logged in plug the scanner back in and power it on. If this does not work then re-install driver for this scanner and the software again. I hope this assisted you. John
My scanner keeps flashing and
Go to msconfig or if you have a registry cleaner, go to the startup menu. Disable and ssmgr (scansnap manager in pfu). Reboot. Open the ScanSnap 1500 and then start the ScanSnap manager. The scanner is now ready to scan.

Am receiving error message 0x80210019

Give this a try:
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\PFU\ScanSnap\Driver\.
2. Right-click on
PfuSsMon.exe and choose Properties.
3. Click on the Compatibility Tab.
4.
Under the Compatibility mode, uncheck the "Run this program in compatibility
mode for" if it is checked.
5. Connected ScanSnap.
Scansnap Scanner stops suddenly when
I had this problem happen also and found that it was related to Acronis True Image Home 2011. When this program was uninstalled, the problem went away. I had even rebuilt the Windows 7-64 bit OS and the problem existed until Acronis was again removed.
