Read page 75 of the Neo manual VERY CAREFULLY.
I am quite sure you will find a solution to your problem there as I had the same thing happen to me once early on.

Hope this helps.

Assuming you have your mic plugged in properly and all is working well save for this one issue, do as follows: press the SELECT button on the track/channel which has the mic on it. Then press the SEND button over to the right of all the tracks. The button is right under the EQ button. After you press the SEND button, a screen opens up and you can send reverb to that channel/track...as much as you want. I hope this helps.

monitors are usually controlled by a button or switch labeled 'monitor' or 'control room.'
The channel is also controlled by a level knob or slider.
Make sure you don't just have your levels too low. Turn down the mains while your testing for monitor to be sure.

Straight out of a Tascam 2488 manual...

When editing tracks, you have selected the
same track as both source and destination
for a duplicate operation.

Press EXIT and try again.

this has happened to me too- with different system error codes also not referred to at all in manual !!! i don't know of solution- and have lost the current recording session by having to just turn the device off and hope for the best... i plan on contacting tascam after this project is complete since my unit is still under warranty - GOOD LUCK out there

reseat the HDD cables, just unplug them and blow on them to remove any dust or anything on the cables and the connectors and plug them back in, but first make sure it is unplugged from the socket and once it is press the power button to let all the power out of it so you don't shock yourself , i hope I was helpful and it solves your issue

this model needs to be hooked up to an amplifier for speakers to work..it has no audio amplifier inside...as for the mic's..you'll need to make sure you have the mic inputs that you are using selected in the setup menu..there are the xlr{3 pin} connectors and the 1/4" connectors..check the setup

switches are sealed, need replacement. faders can be cleaned, use de-oxit, good stuff!

It sounds like the main pickup and processing board has gone bad, but the hard drive could be the culprit also. A spike on the power line could have caused some damage, or the hard drive could have bad sectors, disabling the unit. It will have to be troubleshot and serviced, and although a local repair facility might be able to help, you might get better service from Tascam, although I haven't delt with them. Here's their support site:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

You can configure the equipment to go either way. I would configure the Yamaha as the master. Here is the manual to show you the configuration. I think it is on page 72. The NEO has a few more inputs and out puts on it. You can set it up as the slave. Here is the manual for that model. Like I said, there are a couple of ways you may hook them up. Look at the technical docs on each system and see which one makes more sense for you.

If you own a small practice guitar amplifier with reverb, mic the amplifier and hook your guitar and microphone into it and run it into the board. You will get a better sound
