InFocus Proxima UltraLight LS2 Multimedia Projector Questions & Answers
I am connecting the VGA cable but still no signal
There are two things to try. One is on your laptop. Hit function 4 on your keyboard. You should pop into a screen that allows you to send signal out from your laptop to the projector. The other is to go into the menu on the projector and adjust it for either the port you are on or set it up for "auto-detect" When the menu comes up it should have a video section and then an input select. Your VGA inputs on the projector should be labeled something like VGA 1, VGA 2 or something like that identifying the ports. Then in the menu select that port. If these two things do not work give me another posting and we can get this fixed.
Only get black and white
on the User Menu of the projector, make sure NTSC is selected when on the Video option of the projector, or you can have it set to Auto.
Dear Sir
My projector Ultralight LS2
I would say it has done very well if it has never been cleaned or serviced.
The light engine could do with being cleaned professionally. That should restore the clarity.
Hope that helps.
All areas that should project
If the screen is getting more yellow, that is due to either an old bulb, not producing so much high frequency light, or the blue LCD imager is dirty/burnt or the mirrors require specialist cleaning.
Cleaning the LCD units and mirrors takes about 2 hours to complete including re converging.
Hope that gives you an idea.
The colors seem out of focus. Blues and yellows
sounds like you have ghosting, this is not adjustable unless you can get into the hidden menu and then you have to know exactly what you are doing. Or the LCD ribbons have come loose. The easiest thing to try is reflashing the software.
No power to the projector
the power supply is bad and needs to be replaced. unfortunately, infocus no longer makes them. sorry.
Infocus in2124/in2126 projector keeps turning itself on. When it does you can't turn it off with the remote. What could cause this?
There are a few possible causes for a projector like the Infocus IN2124/IN2126 turning itself on and not being able to be turned off with the remote:
1. Remote control issues: Firstly, it's worth checking the remote control itself. Ensure that the batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Try replacing the batteries or using a different remote control to see if the issue persists.
2. Signal interference: Sometimes, external factors can interfere with the projector's remote control signal. Check if there are any sources of interference nearby, such as other electronic devices or strong light sources. Move these items away from the projector to see if it resolves the problem.
3. Faulty power button or control board: It's possible that the power button on the projector or the control board itself is malfunctioning. If the power button is not responding when pressed, it could indicate a hardware issue. In such cases, contacting Infocus customer support or a professional technician for further assistance or repairs may be necessary.
4. Firmware or software issue: Occasionally, a software or firmware glitch can cause unexpected behavior in electronic devices. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your projector model on the Infocus website. Updating the firmware can potentially resolve any known issues and improve overall performance.
5. Power supply issues: In some cases, fluctuations or problems with the power supply can cause erratic behavior in electronic devices. Ensure that the projector is connected to a stable and properly grounded power source. Consider trying a different power outlet or using a voltage stabilizer to rule out any power-related issues.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, it is recommended to reach out to Infocus customer support or consult a professional technician with expertise in projector repairs. They will be able to provide more specific guidance and troubleshooting steps based on your particular projector model.
I have an Infocus G300-ww
In the Infocus IN1 G300-WW projector the problem won't turn on, is not with the lamp or configuration, it is the Power button that internally breaks a plastic tab and does not make contact at the ignition point, you just have to disassemble the upper plastic, look for the plastic part of the Power and put glue on it so that it is the same as the other volume and light contacts. The projector is reassembled, it is connected and the Power is pressed, so it should turn on and give the image.
