Code for universal remote
Hi XX,
Sorry to disappoint you but most universal remotes would not work outright with a combo unit. You might be able to make it work for the TV but will not work in the DVD/VCR or vice-versa.
A shot in the dark, pls post back your remote's make and model.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Dead br1342z
Hi,
By "it looks like is dead", I will assume you mean when plug to the mains, no light indicator and will not power on. If yes, a couple of things you can do to confirm and first aid:
1. Make sure there is power at the outlet/mains. Plug in another electrical device to where the TV was plugged such as lampshade or cell phone charger that will light up/indicate that indeed there is power;
2. Check the AC cord to make sure that there are no breaks, exposed wire, bent plug terminal, soft spot or indications of anything out of the ordinary. If available and possible, replace the cord;
3. Plug the TV to a known good outlet and try powering up, you can also try jarring the TV a bit to shake it up such as a solid thump to the side or to the back would help determine if there is a loose connection or partial open circuit or cold solder;
4. If comfortable doing so, open the back cover and check where the AC wire leads to. Normally there would be a fuse somewhere near it.
With the TV unplug, determine if fuse is open or simply replace with a known good fuse of the same rating;
5. Since the back is open, inspect the inside of the TV for any burnt marks, lingering smell of burning or ozone, loose connection or dangling wires.
Try the unit again. If all else fails, it may be to your advantage to have a qualified service professional have a look at it with consideration of course for the repair charges for a 13in.
Good luck and hope this work out for you or give you an idea. Post back how things stand or should you need further information. Kind regards.
Timer record set
Make sure the clock is set. Since the clock must be set before the timer will work, be sure you have entered an accurate date, day of the week, and time (including AM or PM). And always check the clock after a power outage.
Also, check that your videotape does not have the tab removed which protects against further recording.
My zenith CD/DVD duplicator LCD light on but no ready
If the LCD light on your Zenith CD/DVD duplicator is on but it is not showing as "ready," it is possible that there is an issue with the duplicator's internal components or settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
Check the disc trays: Make sure that all of the disc trays are closed properly and that there are no discs stuck inside the duplicator. If a tray is open or a disc is stuck, the duplicator will not be able to operate properly.
Check the power source: Make sure that the duplicator is plugged into a working power source and that the power cable is securely connected to the duplicator. If the power source is not providing enough power, the duplicator may not be able to operate.
Check the settings: Check the duplicator's settings to ensure that it is set up correctly for the type of disc you are trying to duplicate. For example, if you are trying to duplicate a DVD, make sure that the duplicator is set to duplicate DVDs and not CDs.
Reset the duplicator: Try resetting the duplicator by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, then plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues with the duplicator's internal components.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a more serious issue with the duplicator's hardware or software. In this case, it may be best to contact Zenith customer support or a professional technician for further assistance.
