Static on every station, no matter where i plug it
Possible that you have a EMI interferance in your circuit or power which carries into the set..Use the set in the battery mode and swtich off all the mains in your house. if this solves, then check on by one the connected appliances which might produce this static. You could also take the set to another location to see if this reduces off . in this case you will have to check if there is a lurking interferance from the power source. I suppose you might not get this faultt with the FM but MW and SW is bound to pick up the static unless the signal is powerful. Please also try to check your external cords, if possible change the location of the antennae. Further any fault on the radio IFT/filters could be considered. Hope my advice helps you . Good day
Does not turn on.I have
This is a fairly common problem with this model. I've had it happen to mine several times and often, just using the reset button under the batteries will work, sometimes it doesn't. I've found that using the plug in power transformer will resolve the issue in combination with the power supply being used.
I've discovered that although the unit will get power from the batteries, enough to get the display to function, sometimes the battery contacts have a small amount of residue that can cause issues. Try using some rubbing alcohol or a pencil eraser to clean the solid battery tabs, and a small rag with alcohol to get the springs clean. Also, use new, fresh batteries too, as sometimes one battery will drain faster than the others and can cause issues. Always change all batteries at the same time.
I'd found these steps to work for me, so give them a try and let me know how you make out.
Hopefully you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
Cuts off
This is simply a low battery issue. If you replace the batteries it should work. Apparently, the unit has a voltage sensor that cuts off the radio when the voltage drops too low. However, eventhough the radio will not run, there is still sufficient voltage left in the batteries to run the light.
This is why the radio will run when plugged into AC.
Hope this works for you !!!!
