U need to go on the program in your computer and from there reset the drum, probably u have one called okidata, ther u have a OP8z monitor.

really have to ask that anything dropped can be damaged

You cannot repair this error easily. Most times its the main board that has the problem but its more than likely to be the scanner pcb than the main board. I am actually in the middle of the very same error and have tried the main board and it is the scanner pcb that is causing this particular problem. As you do not state what model you have , I cannot give you a part number.

Check the cyan developer unit and cyan drum.

RESET OKIDATA TONER DRUM 1. Turn machine on while pushing and holding the TWO up/down menu buttons at same time. 2. Menu window will show "OKI USER" 3. Scroll to " Engine Dialog Mode" is indicated.
