You don't need any special software or hardware to do this, and it's really easy too! Open one of the saved image files of the negative scan using Microsoft Paint. It's under Start -> Accessories. Now click select in at the top, and then right click anywhere on the image. At the very bottom of the menu, there should be an 'invert colors' option. Click it. Your negative should now be a normal picture =).

your model FS-C1-VP has drivers only for Windows. Sorry, there is no way to make it work in a Mac, of any kind. You will need to install Boot Camp and Windows in it to use it.

VuPoint solutions have taken down the product from their products listings on their site, so that means they've ceased support of the device. Since there is no Vista or 7 driver, just an XP one that means that you won't be able to get it running on a windows 7 now or ever. The only other option you have left is to find an independently-developed driver from some programming geek but I had no luck with that. Mac drivers have never even been listed for that device, so same there. What I suggest is installing XP(either physically or virtually) to use with the device or upgrading to a newer device with Vista/7 support. I hope I helped!
