Have you tried turning your computer off and rebooting? Also you might go into task manager and see what processes are running and close any that might be conflicting

There is probably another dialog open that is preventing you from closing the one visible on your screen. try pressing [ALT]+[TAB] to see if you can make it visible. The other option is to open Task Manager and locate the application/process that's generating the dialog and end it.

Try to repair your corrupt file with the help of Open & repair. You can do this by following below steps:Start->File->Open->Select the corrupt file->Click arrow next to open button->select open & repairIf you are still facing the same problem then try to start MS word in safe mode.If you will be able to open the file in safe mode then there is a problem with add-ins. try opening the files in another computer and check if the problem is still there.
