Pioneer PRO800HD loud pop and flash of light AXY 1059-c

I'm working the same problem. Q127 shorted, R217 & R 133 open. Also have solder blown off one end of R222 and R351 (both sm 200 ohm). Looks like small, short trace evaporated on top layer between D145 and via directly below it. Q129 is open all ways (but not exploded).
This one has C164 installed as 1200 uf, 10V.

Any success getting your going again?

I have a PDP505CMX 50

i would say a power supply issue or maybe the Y SUSTAIN board, Check for swollen capacitors in the power supply, Test the voltages on the VA AND VS lines are there if so its more than likely your Y Sustain board.

We have a pioneer plasma tv and there was a loud

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago to my zenith 50" plasma tv. I tried to turn it back on with the remote and the power button on the set but the only thing that happened was the led would flash green 3 times and then go back to red. I took it to a repair shop and they called yesterday to tell me it was going to cost $700 to fix it by replacing the power supply. No guarantees either that it will last any longer than the 3 years I've had it for either. But it's still cheaper than replacing it with a new "bigger" tv which is what I will eventually do anyway. I've heard of people looking on ebay for repair parts and doing the repairs themselves but there is no warranty on human error...

Pioneer PDP 507XDA 50-inch plasma TV. Sound but no picture. SOME CHANNELS WORK BUT OTHERS IS SCREEN SAVER WITH CHANNEL AUDIO.

Question edited for clarity. Great question Madeleine. The ones with Screen Saver and Audio are in Preview Mode. If you want to watch them, you have to subscribe. It is a tactic to get you hooked and get you to pay. Sometimes they will give you a couple of minutes of video and audio at the beginning of a programme. It isn't a television issue, it is your cable provider and a sales technique. ..

My pioneer 50" plasma tv #PDP 5071 PU won t stay on and the blue ON lite keeps blinking 8 x over and over. Is it dead? Did Comcast update fry it? It started yesterday. I tried unplugging it.

Sorry you're having problems. Offhand the 8 blink code on a Pioneer Plasma translates to an internal communication failure in the TV and generally requires repairs. However it's worth it to try a hard reset, as sometimes the processor in the TV can simply have locked up. The first thing you would try, is disconnect the set from power, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote), for 10 seconds and release. Then plug the set back in, and also check that the power cord is connected tight at the TV as well. Press power once, and see if the set powers up normally.

My pioneer amp 820w blinking blue why?

The blue blinking light on your Pioneer amp could indicate a number of issues. One possible reason is that the amp is in "standby" mode, which means that it is not currently receiving any audio signals. Another possibility is that the amp is experiencing an error or malfunction. To get a better understanding of the issue, I would recommend checking the user manual for your Pioneer amp. If you don't have the manual, you can try searching for it online using the model number of your amp. You can also try resetting the amp by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. If the problem persists, it may be time to take your amp to a professional for repair.
