Pioneer Elite VSX-9100TX Receiver Questions & Answers
Pioneer receiver shuts off
This might not be any help to someone else, but I fixed the problem by double checking all the speaker wire connections - on the speakers and behind the receiver. A couple banana plugs felt loose and I discovered that one connection on one speaker was out completely. Suppose I should have seen that sooner, but as soon as I ensured all the wires were where they were supposed to be, I encountered no more problems.
If your Pioneer receiver is shutting off on you, double check all your connections!

The remote to my pioneer
HI;
I'm having the same problem. All that is needed for a quick fix is to unplug the receiver and wait a while and plug it back in. You might have to do the unplug and plug back in a few times and you may have to wait hours but eventually each time this has happened to me I've been able to get it working again. You will find this in the Trouble Shooting guide under Other Information. the problem I'm having is it keeps doing it and can be really annoying. Even the face controls go out and no control of the receiver is possible. For the money you would think it would be a bit more robust. It's acting like a Korean Microwave I bought about 15 years ago.
