My Mitsubishi 1080 series HDTV

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Search the site by type in this key phrase "how to test a remote control "in the "search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get the related post quickly. https://youtu.be/wUpnETSm6_k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsSCNCW3IbQ [open and clean] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp-l1uh-5gE [open and clean]

I have a mitsubishi 1080 series tv. I turned the

A hint--if the green power light comes on for a few moments and goes off do the self check this set has.

On the front of the set press and hold BOTH THE MENU AND INPUT (OR DEVICE) BUTTONS BOTH FOR AT LEAST 5 SECONDS. Release both buttons and look at the power button.

If this is the case the power light will blink a two digit error code--most common in this case is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code up to ten times.

Let me know if you find an error code or the power light just blinks and never stops.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Picture stays on for a few minutes then turns

This model TV is a CRT projection and does not have a lamp. It has 3 CRT tubes (Red, Green and Blue). Unfortunately, you may need to have a trained TV technician diagnose this further.

No color on mitsubishi 1080

1080 is a High Definition setting. If your Television is HD capabilities you need to make sure that the programming that you are viewing is being broadcasted in 1080. If it is not then you will see a difference in picture quality and sound. If no color at all and program being watch is HD programming check your connections on back of Television. depending on what kind of input the Television is receiving you might need to try new cables or a new input. Good luck

My blue and green coloring is messed up on my Mitsubishi Medallion. I can't get it to have both colors normally, it has to almost be one or the other. Is this just a contrast issue, or something

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Below are more details for both items. Also, complete repair kits with instructions and repair support are avail from site such as www.TvRepairKits.com Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone outProjection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem. Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on. The power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems. 7859b01.jpge87380c.jpg 69189a5.pngSOLUTION #1What you will need to do is convergence. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement parts, step by step instructions, support, etc.Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is CloudyProjection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images. Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed.578ba6c.jpg TV set after fluid change65af323.jpg 69189a5.pngSOLUTIONWhat you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement coolant, step by step instructions, support, etc.

My mitsubishi tv W55613 won't turn on. green light keeps blinking even after resetting

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.

I would be surprised if the model listed here has a HDMI input--it should only have a single component HD input marked as DTV.

Mitsubishi WS-55613 55in.

1. "wavy" may mean a signal problem inside the set--are you seeing colors out of position or skewed around letters etc?2. Does it do it when a DVD is played? (this will rule out certain things).SD TECH

Mitsubishi WS-55613 55 in. rear projection HDTV has no picture but does give blue screen and menus. What is the problem and how can i fix it

The set has three hidden menus, one of which is the option menu--with the Mitsubishi remote and a four digit code in that you can do a hard reset of the entire set---if a glitch has occurred I have seen this fix no sound, bad video, missing inputs, you name it.It cannot hurt and may help and it is model specific as far as the 4 digit code.
