i hope you didn't dropped it cause dropping it may cause to malfunction or no function at all
here are some steps you might follow if its not broken it may work
1. first of all check the adapter if it says
Input:100V-240V~50/60Hz Output:5V/2A; 12V/2A ,
if you have the original adapter check for the values
2. if it doesn't powers your external drive then check for a adapter of same inputs and outputs
see if it works with another adapter,go to a shop and ask someone that you want to check ,
if it works then you have to buy it.cause our adapter is out.
if it doesn't your final procedure should be this
1. install driver from
here 2. install it .and see if it detects the drive works.
now if it doesn't help ignore this post .cause i don't want to reffer you to a service center,cause i consider this as a help to you.
