Service Hook-ups...
1- in order of what connects to what
1- linksys connects to road runner modem. Should be a network connection on the back of the router that says uplink. This connects to the road runner`s wired port on the back of the unit.
Vonage phone will/should connect through the wireless section an in your personal wifi connection when you get the router wireless setup. Name your wireless something that other people are not using and then tell vonage phone to connect to that network.
Hope this helps

E3000 reset doesnt work
Did you try a 30-30-30 reset?
- Hold down the reset button for 30 seconds.
- Pull the power for 30 seconds whilst holding the reset button
- Plug in power and hold the reset button for another 30 seconds
(My finger usually hurts after holding that button for 1.5 minutes ;-) Look at your watch to not cut down on the time.Let me know how that goes.
Hi ,
To reset the Linksys back to the default settings - Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON for 20 secs. then release the RESET button. To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router. Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer. Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL http://192.168.1.1 The default login = admin The default PW = admin You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place) Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption. Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-
