See the best solution to fix this problem.Is to completely reinstall this software.But make sure you have a disc of this software so that you can install it again after uninstalling it.Also have the serial key with you to insert it.

Hello no you cant speed it up in any way and 750KB should take in theory about 2minutes but in practise from 2 - 5 minutes.

Try using the link above. I have always found that symantec problems always cause problems unless you use their own proprietry uninstall program.

From the sounds of your issue, it may be that you have malware or a Trojan. You can run a scan using this free malware/antivirus protection. I am not sure which antivirus you are currently using but this one is free and has excellent reviews. You will need to uninstall your current antivirus protection first before installing this one.

Malware/Trojans can disable your antivirus programs and make it look like everything is running smoothly. By running a complete scan with another program, you can get the malware out. Even the best antivirus can be disabled.

where do I find the installation page, if I don't find it can't enter my product key as instruted. Where do i go from here.

3. Click on downloads
4. Select the appropriate antivirus version
5. Download and install
