Ethanol gas wrecks Carburetors and Gas lines. Just for giggles see if the Stone filter in the gas tank broke off the dried out gas line.

Initial start adjustment is 1 full turn out on both low and high side.

Could have scored the rings, broken ring, or just cooked the piston to the sleeve, maybe melted the connecting rod to crank, damaged needle bearings. Most likely needs to be taken apart.

It sounds like the engine might be running too lean. You need to get someone to adjust the idle and high speed screws correctly.

This sounds much like poor car settings ( set too lean ) you need to richen up the L and H screw on the carb, unfortunatley there will be anti tamper sleeves on the carb or a special tool reqired to adjust them, turning the screws anti clockwise will richen the mixture if you manage to remove the caps or get hold of the apropriate tool.

you are right, check your fuel filter, fresh gas and clean your carb out,also check your exhaust screen for being plugged, also a bad fuel cap could cause this, if the cap is not venting

Check the fuel filter in the tank and make sure the fuel line is connected to it. The carburetor may have inhaled some debris and/or small chunks of broken fuel line and need to be opened up and cleaned also. At this point, you would probably need to install a new fuel filter also.

Removing the guard on your Black & Decker Grasshog electric weedeater GH600 can be tricky without three hands, but here's a method you can try: 1. Use a flathead screwdriver or a similar tool to depress one of the springy tabs while holding it down. 2. While holding the first tab down, use a second tool (another flathead screwdriver, a pair of pliers, etc.) to depress a second tab. 3. Once you have two tabs depressed, you should be able to use your free hand to push or pull the guard away from the trimmer. 4. If needed, use the same method to depress the third tab and completely remove the guard. Alternatively, you might ask someone to assist you by holding down the tabs while you remove the guard.
