Yes it is possible that sense you just changed batteries with out powering it off first through the computer off. Try to reboot it. Meaning make sure it is off of course, then as you power it on, keep the on button depressed through the whole turning on process, even 10 seconds past. Meaning, while it is turning on, you keep your power button depressed or switch on, through the whole process. If this does not work, take batteries out, wait about 15 minutes and try this again. What this does is manually reboot system. Let me know, Thanks Mike from fixya.

Call Magellan and tell them the web page you were dircted to has been removed tell them your license number and they will unlock a sd card when you give them the sd serial number I went through this two years ago.the link you need has been removed from there server

it's displayed un the software - one of thre menu options (the last one from memory)

If you need to reload the master maps, they are on your MapSend Streets disk. With the laters firmware update I can use a 1GB SD card but I have not been able to get a 2 GB card to work.

Magellan no longer supports this device, so contacting them is a waste of time, they are rude, stupid, and won't tell you anything even if they know it.

Might I suggest buying the Lowrance Ifinder of any model that way it will work with all the software I have and I can keep it up to date :-P

Problem solved. I took out the BlueNav sd and pressed the menu and power buttons at the same time. Afterwards I tried with BlueNav sd and everything is working fine.

yes i can help you. go to the magellangps site. up on top put your pointer on support and then choose legacy products. they list them buy the name of the magellan gps. i hope this helps you.

This is possibly an issue with the software the gps uses to work. You could try doing a Firmware update by connecting it to a computer and going to the Magellan website to access the update.
