You need to open the casing to access th inside components. Remove the screws on the backside, cut any stickers or labels that cover the seam. You will see a 12v voltage converter mounted to the back cover. Test it to ensure it is working properly. Is it putting out the proper voltage? If it is then check the battery to see if it has proper voltage or can hold a charge. These are the two most common problems and can be easily replaced if defective. The circuit board is less common.

You will likely have to open up the case to look inside. The main components will be a circuit board, a 12v power supply, a 12v air pump and a 12v rechargeable battery. It sounds like a loose connection on the air compressor pump. When you turn it on it normally vibrates and is loud. This may be enough to shake loose a wire connection.
