I can achieve normal pressure only by using dual wall baskets.

The grind is too coarse or the tamping is too light, or a combination thereof. Use some bathroom scales to get your tamping pressure right and then adjust the grind accordingly.

Replace water tank seal

Just had this replaced by a electronics repairer. There are two screws needed to be removed to take the top off first. One under the tamper, the other near the steam wand. Once they're out (and after removing the 6 out of the back) apparently you can take the back off to replace the water seal :)

Yes you should have a warranty on it and it should be covered. It shouldn't matter if you haven't registered as you still have your proof of purchase and the machine does not work as intended.

Brand new machine and the pressure gauge

It could be a faulty machine, what is your grind setting? Make sure your using the dual wall single cup as a test. Set the grind to around 13 and grind your own beans, don't use supermarket bought beans or preground coffee. Both are garbage.
Also if your using the dual wall basket, make sure that you leave the dial guage in the dual wall setting. Then tamp the coffee so it sits roughly 3-5mm below the rim, this is what I have found is best for this unit.
Then secure group head in to unit, press single cup and you should hopefully get a pressure reading, if it isn't going up you are under extracting and your grind is prob to coarse (correct me if I'm wrong), I've found 13 is not to coarse not to fine. Shouldn't feel like fine sand, when coarse but not powdery.
If the gauge does not move in to the grey area your unit is most likely faulty.

I just bought a Breville

They require a bit of effort to push them in when new, you should have gotten a set of single wall and dual wall baskets. There is a spring clip inside the grouphead (portafilter) and you have to overcome the clamping of the spring it is a reasonably tight fit to stop the basket retaining in the machine.

No steam no hot water

Do you have enough water in the tank? Is the filter secured in the tank?
Move the steam dial from standby to steam and wait about 20-30 seconds, should steam if it doesn't most likely faulty.

Water coming out of the filter when making coffee.

It is possible that you have found your own solution, I have found that this unit works best when the tamped coffee sits between 3-5mm below the rim. Don't forget that this unit pre presurises the basket before operation. If it has to much coffee in there it is possible that there is to much pressure that it is escaping the seal.

With the BES860 set to Dual Wall for full

If your using the dial gauge with a dual wall basket, you need to leave the dial in the dual wall setting. If you move it beyond the dual wall setting, you are basically adding more volume to the basket. Leave it in the dual wall setting for dual wall baskets.

Otherwise it may be faulty, it could be your grind setting, try it on 13 and see how it goes.

My steam wand has stopped working.

Hi,

The steam wand may congest from dry milk. Try soaking the wand in boilingwater and after some minutes try the steam again. If you hear any steam outjust keep it open and the steam will clean the rest. If you don't get any steamyou can help it by inserting a thing paper clip all the way in the wand and tryagain soaking and steam. If you don't have any effectthen the steam valve is jammed from a scale deposit and you need to try acouple of times descaling to open it. If not then you need to remove the steamvalve and remove the scale deposit manually with the use of metal wire brush.
