Unlike most vacuums, this one the screws are on the top of your base. There are two screws one on each side. When looking at the front of the vacuum right side screw is located above the s in 12amps and on the left side screw is located above the p in pet. Now keep in mind it's not directly above the letters look about 2 inches up. Unscrew them, take cover off. Once you have done that pull up on the brush rod. Maybe tough if ur vacuum has a lot of built up dirt. Next put belt on metal prong then put on brush rod. Place rod back in its spot, gonna need little bit of muscle. Then put top back on and replace screws. Plug in flip bottom just to make sure brush is spinning. If u have followed steps this should work. I hope this helped took me forever to find the screws because I have always had vacuum with them on the bottom and internet was no help to me. Good luck

1. Pry off adjustable clear cover with flathead screwdriver.
2. Unscrew 2 Philips screws holding power paw together.
3. Place tips of needle nose pliers into the two holes on each of the black round pieces on the ends of either end of the roller. Twist and the black pieces will release.
4. Remove roller, use needle nose pliers or awl to dig out any hair wrapped up in the roller or especially the ends of the roller at the metal pins.
5. Replace belt and put everything back together in the same order you took it apart.

They are all pretty much the same..You should See four or so screws that hold the cover of the vac to the bottom where the beater brush is..once that is removed you will see the motor with a small round shaft and the beater brush that comes out. The belt stretches between the motor shaft and the beater bush pulley.. Once the belt is on make sure the beater brush is in place on both sides and replace the top..you should be good to go..good luck..

Your filter is clogged. Open the tank. Unscrew the filter. Slide the casing off the filter. Brush out the collected dirt. If it's really clogged you can wash it, but use warm water to break up the packed dust. I wouldn't wash the inner filter more than once or twice. Make sure it's completely dry before you reassemble it. Easier, but more expensive, replace the filter.

You have to turn the vacuum over and remove the two small silver screws on the sides of the bottom plate.

Mine did the same thing. The electrical cord is loose where it plugs into the machine. When you pull the vacuum into the room it puts just enough strain on the cord to break the electrical connection. Push the plug on the cord firmly into the vacuum.
