I am not familiar with this unit but It could probably be one of two things. The broiler is the top element, since it gets hot you have enough energy. The bottom element could have failed. Carefully check the voltage on the two terminals on the heating element. There should be ~240 +- 20% volts. If you have that the element needs to be replaced. If not then it could be a bad control, or wireing.

Shuts off at the breaker? The breaker has become 'lazy' and needs replacing. Or is the top elements are on and it flips the breaker when you turn the oven on, the element has blown and is shorting to earth. Shut off at the stove. It may need a new control board. Due to the cost, call for service for correct diagnosis.

If the temperature sensor is within range, (how you tested it is not clear) then maybe it has been moved slightly and not in the correct place within the oven cavity.
