If the camera is under warranty the best option would be to get it repaired for free via the service center.

Either they will repair it or replace it.

From the error code , it seems to be the zoom lens malfunctioning which you cannot repair by yourself and the error in itself means that you need to get in touch with the service center.
It's a chip level fault or a firmware fault which SONY authorized center can deal with.

What you need to do , i contact the service center and just inform them about the error code that you are receiving , and they will come to know as to what is the problem and direct you to appropriate department and method to get this problem resolved

I would also like to caution you , that you should not attempt anything on your own in this situation because it may result in further damage to your camcorder.

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

See page 57 of the manual if you have one. You need to navigate the camera menu to audio rec set>blt-in zoom mic>off.

Its possible that some data format filesa was delete in this process; I sugges re-format the SD card, first try in the pc external SD reader and next in the camera.

Your firmware are updated from Sony site?

Try to verify the same by burning it to a disk and playing it on a DVD player... laptops though they have high RAM they something can not handle the tasks if you still see blocks on the tv screen then it has to do with the Camcorder not being able to actively refresh the content its recording

hi you must have a broken wire in the flat ribbon of the LCD (the one for the blue colour). you have to replace it cheers mich
