20 Most Recent Tivoli Model Three Clock Radio Questions & Answers

Proceed at your own discretion, this will void your warranty. This worked with my Model 3 clock radio:

1)Remove the four corner screws on the back panel with a long phillips screwdriver.

    2) Do not remove the two other screws on the back panel.

3)Gently pull the front panel forward, sliding it out of the wooden case leaving the back panel in place. You can pull of the front panel just free of the case and lay it flat before the connected wires are taught.

4)Unplug the 7 wire harness leading to the back of the clock.

5)Separate the brown wire from between the black and red wires to make room to cut, or modify it.

6)The brown wire is the lead wire to the LED light on the clock. To permanently disable the light, cut the brown wire. Better yet, install a switch in line with the brown wire, which I have not attempted yet and is not covered in this fixya.

Good luck, I have always loved this radio except for the pesky light keeping me up at night.

Sounds like you need a new clock. Parts and repairs cost more than new products.

Hi,Check the power cord on the clock radio and connect it to a working power supply if the clock radio is not working. Reset or replace the fuse or circuit breaker as necessary. Turn the radio over and remove the battery compartment cover. Insert 3 AA batteries, lining up the "+" symbol on each battery with the "+" icon inside the compartment, and push each battery into place. Close the battery compartment cover.

Set a thin cloth or other protective layer between the clock radio and the table or furniture surface if the surface area gets heated or discolored from heat during use.

Disconnect the clock radio from the power supply and remove the batteries if the radio is not used for a prolonged period of time and the batteries become corroded. Clean the battery compartment with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Install new batteries.

Feel free to get back to me..

Hope it helped..

The antenna works with the power cord. Try extending the length of its power cord with an extension cord.
Position of the radio in the room, the furniture in the room and your position in relation to the radio all affect its reception.
If there is a place to connect an external antenna, this will be helpful. Check with Radio shack and best buy for a FM loop antenna. Usually the wire is flat.
An inexpensive antenna for FM only is also a cheap alternative
