Thomson DT!6300-16 has stopped working
Usually to fix most odd problems on the Thomson digi box you should do a hard disk format every couple of months, select menu, setup, help,
press green button on remote
this shows advanced menu, press blue button, warning should show,
press green button to proceed
takes about 2mins you lose all recorded programs
If the problem is the box stays at red, and won't switch on,
pull the mains plug wait a few secs then push and hold the the standby
button on the main box (not remote) then insert mains plug, as soon as the
red light flashes release the standby button and very quickly press
menu and OK in that order, don't hang about, it has to be done very quickly
I had to do it several times before I got it right, this loads a preloaded firmware
and the box will come alive again the box will upload new firmware in a couple of hours.

well you gave me a explanation of the part now how about a photo from the cellphone or anytype of pitchure taken device. if it has stuff all over it it is good reason they dont want anyone to know what it is becuase they would be ran out of bussiness , just buy a new one.
18 months may of been good for that computer equipment or device .

check first is all the devices on your motherboard where connect.. then make sure that the VGA adaptor was plug in the system..if you have heard some beeping check the RAM of your motherboard.. maybe it was lose in connection..and your VGA card.. ^^ try to reset your BIOS settings..

The PVR you have has preset Top-up TV channels it will download from as a preset. You need to go into the main menu and turn off the auto update function of the machine. Then in your "TV Guide" menu find the particular channel and deselect it for download or recording.
The 3-4 minute recordings are commercials for their products and came with the last few auto updates, they're trying to sell their product.
A crash could be a sign of stress on the hard drive, most of these machines have craptastic hard drives that if even rattled or slightly moved while being recorded upon they die. If you're recording and deleting at the same time (with the age of the machine) I would not be surprised if it continued to happen. If it crashes when you do these things individually it is probably the same problem, or the firmware of the machine is corrupt.

As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.
