Boards don't come with switches. The problem with company made computers is that they get a manufacturer to make a board especially for the case they make. They do this to specifically stop you doing what you are trying to do, upgrade a machine with a proprietary board in THEIR case. You will find trouble at the rear of the machine getting to sockets and plugs.

It is far better to buy a good case, and then you can swap out components with ease. The case that held my Asus boarded P4 with the first SATA drives now has an Asus Quad Core in it with SATA 2.

Go to the intel site. They have these audio drivers for all intel motherboards.

MSI G41TM-E43... | Answered on Mar 17, 2014

Download the driver from here:

Please select your windows system 32 or 64 bit.
Download the vga driver and unzip the file.
Uninstall the old one before you install the new.
Check also your bios for the graphic settings.

My advice is to buy a better graphic card to insert in the pci-e socket instead of using the onboard graphic for better performance.

Good luck

This is an old motherboard, with this in mind there are a couple things for you to try. Power off the system and unplug the power cable from the power supply. Remove the left side of you're case. Touch any metal surface to discharge possible static.
First clear the cmos jumper on the motherboard. See page 1-17 in you're manual for the location of the cmos battery and cmos jumper. Also see page 1-21 to clear / reset the cmos battery. (Don't forget to set the jumper back to normal after 30 seconds.
Doing this will reset the bios to its default setting.
If you added a graphics card to one of the PCI slots remove it.
(For now).
Re-connect the power cord for the power supply and power-on the system. If the motherboards built in VGA controller is working you should have display on your monitor and since we cleared the cmos the bios will want you to enter the bios to adjust all its settings.
If you do not have display than the onboard controller is defective. You can add a PCI video card into any one of the 3 (White in color PCI slots). It’s not uncommon for the mouse to stay lit. If you're mouse is plugged into a PS-2 port try un-plugging it when the system is off.
Then re-connect it with the system off. You can also buy a USB to PS-2 adapter. Most new mice and keyboards come with this type of adapter. See the link provided; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=776087&CatId=469
If you're mouse and keyboard are PS-2 and connects to the system by USB, try another opened USB port. The next link opends to Biostar and you're motherboard;

make sure that your little speaker is plugged in to the correct pins. This gets many people every time. If the speaker isn't plugged into the correct slot you're definitely not going to get anything to work...yeah i know...a silly speaker...you can have quite a few things plugged incorrectly and things will still work but if you have the speaker plugged into the wrong one...then ur dead in the water...find the little cylindrical speaker and try plugging it into a different slot...really look on that board for it. Should be labeled JFP2..connect the speaker to the 4 pin side of that 7 pin connection.

MSI N1996 Motherboard P6NG Neo-Digital MS-7505
the bottom sticker on the mobo tells what it really is.

MSI motherboard, just bought ? used"?
ever see it work before.
did you go to msi.com and the manual on setups"?
are you using the onboard VGA port to a VGA monitor.
The monitor shows no signal means exactly that.
This motherboard has 1 power jacks, the big one 24 pins
and the 4pin at top left of the fan.
you must use PSU v2.2 or newer to get that 4 pin power.
covered on page 24 in your manual, here.

and CPU and fan, (correct)
and memory
and a power switch to the power switch jack.
next time post all stickers on mobo so we can see what it really is.

Beeping mostly means it's trying to give an error code along. Listen to the amount of beeps and the duration of them. This is the error code that it tries to give on. Look up in the manual what the beeps mean and how to solve it.
