I would check the power options and set them to never power off at any time. You can find this in the control panel. Also if they are all off I would consider replacing the power supply unit. Sounds to me like it shows signs of going out this is what the do and eventually they just go out and that is it computer will not come back on. Power supply unit. John

You have 2 options: either you push the button on the tray (the same one that you pushed for opening the tray) or you push the tray itself (gently) at the center towards the computer. Just like this:

prolly need a new power supply

Gateway... | Answered on Aug 15, 2010

Let's start with some of the basics.

1) Since you were checking connections on the motherboard, was the power unplugged from the computer, AND did you follow Anti-Static precautions?

[Anti-Static Precautions:

Your body carries Static electricity.
Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit), the hardware components inside a computer.

You may not even see it, or feel it.

Computer unplugged from power, computer case open, computer on a table.
TOUCH the metal frame of the open computer case to relieve your body of Static.

Should you get up in the middle of working on your computer, and leave, upon your return Touch the metal frame again.
Or use an ESD wrist strap, and connect the alligator clip to the metal frame ]

2) Computer unplugged from power, anti-static precautions followed, remove all ram memory modules, and reinsert them. In fact, it would behoove you to clean the contact pins on the bottom of the ram memory modules, before reinserting them.

Clean with a pencil eraser. Remove the eraser dust, with air pressure from a can of compressed air for computers, or air pressure from your mouth may be sufficient.

You may have bumped the ram memory modules.
Even if they look to be seated, it only takes a few minutes to remove, and reinstall.

After time, corrosion can develop on the gold plated contact pins, at the bottom of the ram memory modules. Doesn't take long to clean them with a pencil eraser.

Handle the ram memory module by the body. The body, is coated with a clear see-through protective plastic.

The above link, is only provided for an illustration of the gold plated contact pins, I am referring to.

It is DDR Sdram ram memory, and has 184 contact pins. 92 on each side.

Your computer uses DDR3 Sdram ram memory.
Has 240 contact pins. 120 on each side, and the Locating Notch is in a different place.

3) Are you sure the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable, is plugged in tightly to the motherboard?

This is power for your Processor.

SATA power cable is plugged in tightly to your SATA harddrive?

If your SATA harddrive has provisions for plugging in a SATA power cable, and a 4-pin Peripheral power cable, BE SURE that only the SATA power cable is plugged in.

Plugging both in will fry out the harddrive. Maybe not right away, but will down the road.

"No signal found" is a generic display from a monitor that is not receiving a signal from the input cable. Your tower, however, may or may not be functioning. If you have another source to connect the monitor to (laptop or other PC) you can try that. Most monitors have a "menu" button. You could press that to see if a menu is displayed on the monitor, That will indicate that the monitor is working as a stand-alone. It will also indicate which input source is being used. If the input source is incorrect, then no signal is being received from the incorrect source. As far as the tower is concerned, the are a myriad of causes for no signal to the monitor. It could be unbootable due to a hardware failure at the mainboard level or the power supply. If you hear a single beep then the main board has passed it's diagnostic testing successfully (memory is ok, chips and CPU are ok). If you hear more than a single beep, the main board is having a problem. If a single beep occurs, them most likely it is the graphics controller. any other failure would be displayed on the monitor. If the graphics controller is on the main board, then you will need to install a new graphics card, bypassing the main board's controller. Was this a working system at one time?

you will need software like NERO to burn cd or dvd select the option (burn image to disc) for mp3 cd to play on all cd players or if you try this go to your downloaded file and clik once left then once right clik then you see the option (send to) put cursor on that option then then another menu will come up then select your dvd drive if you cannot play that dvd after its burned you might need either dvd creator software or you might need a dvd player with Divx capability...you might already have dvd and cd burning software already on your pc like power producer im sure you'll get it on piratebay.org if you download utorrent first<(FREE) hope this helps be carefull of viruses on pirate bay

It's either a bad cord or a bad power supply connector.
Most PC power cords are the same and interchangeable.
Also check the connector on the power supply when you unplug it from the computer.

First problem is as good as windows 7 is it is no longer supported. The hardware on the older machines are giving out as well. Every step forward on Windows 10 is another step backwards for Windows 7.
IF you are not able to upgrade then the most likely problem is the RAM has failed.
