If the wire to the thermostat was loose or disconnected, then the dryer won't heat at all. Also the wire to the thermostat carries 110V, if that wire is hot, then there is a serious safety concern. The loose wire is probably the ground wire connected to the chassis of the appliance. This is often a green wire, but color codes may vary depending on country and connection. The wire is supposed to be connected to a screw in the chassis.
About heating problem, if there is poor heating, and air ducts and filters are clean, then a common cause is a defective thermostat. Replace the cycling and high limit thermostat.

you say the machine is tryng to drain. does in drain? if it doesn't the pressure (fill) switch is preventing it from spinning because there is too much water (weight) in the tub
Thats a simple one to replace. Unplug unit. Take a putty knife and release clips that secure console to top. They are located on each front corner of console. Raise lid. Unplug harness from switch. Take ground screw out that is part of switch assembly. Release plastic tab that holds switch in place and remove switch. Install and snap into place new switch with lid open. Put ground screw back in place and plug harness back into place. Lower lid and then raise and listen for clicking noise. Put console back in place. That’s it.

'then', a moment in time.
'than', a comparison between one thing and another.
It depends on the model, but usually related to the lid lock. Also check the breaker.
Why does my washer stop working after filling with water?
If the Top Load Washer stops after filling with water, be sure to check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate, dedicated outlet.

Usually it's the lid switch..When you open the lip look straight down usually..When you close the lid it inserts a small plastic piece that goes into the hole telling the washer the lids down..If it broke it will make the washer stop mid cycle..You can stick a wooden (only made of wood) into the hole and sometimes it will start to work..Then you know that's the problem and just get your model number of the washer and replace it..Hope this helps
You start with under the agitator, then the filter, then the pump, then the hoses at the base of the drum and then everything else.
Then you find nothing and remember you took it out of your pocket and put it in........

Troubleshooting: Check the drain hose: Ensure that the drain hose is not clogged or kinked. If it is, straighten it out and remove any blockages.
Inspect the drain pump: Check the drain pump for any debris or foreign objects that may be blocking it. Clean it out if necessary.
Check the lid switch: Ensure that the lid switch is functioning properly. If it is faulty, it may prevent the machine from starting the drain cycle.
Check the waste hose: Ensure that the waste hose is not clogged. A clogged waste hose can prevent water from flowing out of the machine.
If this troubleshooting does not work, you may have to turn to professional assistance from a repairman.
For some reason, it is failing the self diagnostic tests. You need a service engineer, because the reason is likely the main control board. For that reason you need the correct diagnosis and warranty on the part and the work performed. This is not a simple fix. If the machine is old it may be prudent to just replace it.
The electric motor turns at a very high rate and as the brushes grip the commutator, they whine. The more weight in the machine, the more noise.
Normal.
If your Kenmore 70 series washing machine is not draining, check the drain hose for clogs or kinks. Ensure the pump is functioning, and inspect the lid switch for any issues. If problems persist, consider consulting the user manual or contacting Kenmore customer support for further assistance.
If you find a tear in the hose or loose connection in the air pressure tube, then this is the likely cause of your F35 error code. If the air pressure tube appears to be okay, then you will likely need to replace the analog pressure sensor.

Well done for fixing it
Testimonial: "Thank you just seeing this now. A couple of days ago I tore it all apart again. I checked the clutch and everything was fine. To my disbelief the coupler that I replaced 2 months, separated from the metal insert. So, I purchased one that was all plastic. I got everything working but it was shaking really bad on the spin cycle. I happened to see some stating to check the skate plate and sure enough it wasn't lined up. Everything is working great but there's still a slight vibration on the spin cycle. I think I will replace the 3 plastic pieces under the skate plate. All the springs look great so still not sure why it's unbalanced when spinning out."
