The bios must like any ram you buy, MUST. this mobo has 4 LED panel for 4 bit binary POST errors what does the 4 LED codes show. 4 yellow is bad bios, means cannot finish POST and more. in the free manual this relic has no VGA port on mobo at all that means only a PCI video card is allowed, to get video that means it can fail when it tries to steal, VRAM from DDR1 bank. sure can , try other VGA cArd? oops wrong this PC has AGP slot and we all know from 2001 year 1/2 the AGP 4x cards made do not work here, only DELLs list , work. 4x/2x modes at 1.5 V , using 3.3v AGP card will blow up(smoke) some dual voltage cards do work but only in DELLS LIST 32bit only. we all hated AGP then , it is a huge horror. then. PCI video works better. try one for $5 used, PCI not PCI-express does not fit here. as you can see I can not see your PC and all things connected no what VGA card you have exactly and matters first.
