5. enter your 4 digit pass code(normally last 4 digit of your phone numbr)
6. go to restore
7 again enter your pass code.
8 click ok to continue.
phone will restart.

It is definitely a wierd glitch. The phone is not meant to delete any message only if it is set to auto delete, but since you said the auto delete is off, then it is not meant to delete any message without your conscent.
When the inbox if the phone is in 81%, it is a sign that the inbox is about to get full, and that you should begin to delete the messages that are not relevant in the phone.
Fisrt try to reset the phone by going to the menu of the phone, then you go to the settings, then you reset the phone, it will prompt you to enter the security code of the phone, once you enter it, the phone will reset back to the way it was when it came out of the factory.
Then you try to delete irrelevant messages from the phone,and messages that have been on the phones outbox and inbox for a long time and have no use there anymore. Always carry out this operation over time in order to save the phone from acting in such a strange way.
Also move files from the phones memory to the memory card, like pictures, music, videos and other files that are on the phone, that creates more space in the phones memory to receive more messages.

To verify if the data is still in the memory card. Try to plugin the card to a computer that has a built in card reader then see if the files are still inside memory card. If files are there, try to restore the phone back to the factory default state. This could be a software problem only of the phone.

For soft reset type *#7780# For hard reset type *#7370# and if it ask passcode enter the passcode as 1234 as default.Please backup all your data if you performing hard reset because hard reset deletes all data on your phone like contacts,messages,music,videos and photos

The speaker for your ear piece is bad. The way to fix this is to replace the speaker. It's not impossible to do it yourself. I will give you a links for the parts and a tutorial on how to take it apart.

into your opitons in the message screen and turn on auto erase and it will erase the read text messages when in reaches the full amount with out you having to manually delete them yourself and it will keep the picture .

If you are referring to unlocking for use on different carriers:
Verizon Cell phones can not be unlocked. They do not have sim cards.

The problem might be from the network, sometimes,the network gets disrupted and does not tend to connect properly and you will have to use the speakerphone of the phone to listen. For that, what you have to do is for you to contact the help center of the network provider, they will solve the problem if it is the network, but before you call them, try to turn of your phone and leave it for about 5 mins, then try to use it again.

If that does not help, then it means both phones are having the same problem. The problem is that the earphone is not working anymore and need to be replaced.

You can and external earpiece that you can connect to the phone via the connction port, or you can use a bluetooth hands-free for the main time. Before you get the earphone working.
