Kenmore dryer model #110.62612101

This caused by one of two possible things. Either you have poor air flow, or a clogged vent preventing air from flowing freely and therefor making the dryer short cycle, which in turn will take you two or three times to dry yor clothes; I would turn the dryer on, find out where the air vents out to, and with the dryer running, go to where it vents and check to see if there is a strong flow of air. 9 times out of 10 that is going to be your problem. Another way to check air flow is to just pull the vent off the back and let the dryer run and see if your clothes dry faster. Electric Fuse gets burnt whenever Dryer is turned on

Hi,
Check the wires on either end of the fuse...one or both are lose...the poor connection is heating up and burning the fuse. You may have to replace the fuse box if the wires are burnt too bad. Sometimes you cannot get them tight again after heating up so mant times...

Of course make sure that you kill all the power before messing araound in there...

Gas will not ignite

No heat If your dryer doesn't heat, check these: Igniter Gas valve coils Thermal fuse Igniter Modern gas dryers use an electric igniter to ignite the gas from the gas valve. When it's working properly, the igniter glows bright orange. When it burns out, the dryer tumbles but there's no heat because the gas can't ignite. When the igniter burns out, you need to replace it. If the igniter is held by a tension bracket, you very well may need to replace the bracket too. The igniter is inside the dryer housing, near the bottom front, usually in a cone-shaped metal tube (the force cone). It's about 2 inches long. It's mounted to the far end of the burner tube, and it has two wires attached to it--or to the tension bracket, if there is one. Gas valve coils Watch the igniter. Does it glow bright orange, then shut off without igniting the gas? (When the gas ignites there's a large blue flame.) If so, there may be defective coils on the gas valve. Mounted on the top of modern gas valves, there are black electrical coils. The coils, when energized, open the gas valve. If one or more of the coils are defective, the valve doesn't open and the gas cannot ignite. Because it's often difficult to properly test the coils, it's usually best to replace both (all) of them at the same time. Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

No heat - Kenmore - model 75811

Correct - it is that simple. I just went through the same thing - not even 15 minutes ago. And, they are basically linear motor fields. The drive the cylinder (post they slip over) out, opening the valve, allowing gas flow.

For a Gas Dryer:
1: Check if the igniter glows, if the igniter glows for a short time, followed by a distinct "click" then shuts off, you most likely have to replace the valve coils.
2: If the igniter does not glow at all, you will need to check some electrical components with an electrical meter. (or "ohm meter"..)
First check the thermal fuse, typically mounted either on the blower housing, (for dryers with a bottom lint trap) or on the rear bulkhead, (dryers with a lint screen on top). If the fuse reads OL or infinite resistance, (open fuse) replace it and check for clear venting and proper airflow at your exhaust duct. If your venting is unrestricted, also replace the operating thermostat or thermistor, whichever your dryer has.
If the fuse checks ok, then check the the igniter by disconnecting the in-line wire harness from the igniter and reading across the two pins in the harness, if you read infinite resistance, replace the igniter.
If the igniter checks ok, read across the radiant sensor mounted on the side of the burn tube, you must remove at least one of the wires from the terminals for a correct reading, again, if infinite resistance, replace.
If this doesn't help you may be looking at some electrical issues in the temp select switch, etc. Hope this helps.

Won't get hot

Check the thermal fuse on the air outlet. If it blows you get no power to the ignitor.

Trying to find out how much part #7 on the exploded view of the Kenmore elite electric dryer model 110.2808 is? It is a motor.

110.2808 is an incomplete model number. Motors are typically $140 to $180 USD https://www.easyapplianceparts.ca/PartInfo.aspx?inventory=334304&SourceCode=18 This is is a typical Kenmore model designation and is probably the matching washer to your dryer. Yours is missing 4 numbers. Label in the back, label on the door frame, mentioned on the manual.
