Either it is loose or is broken.

It's the manufacturers way of telling you, the appliance you love and use everyday has been rendered useless (by liability protection circuitry). Return for warranty repair/replace.

Unfortunately you have ruined a perfectly good waffle maker...
The coating in there is a teflon coating that needs to be applied properly for it to work...if you try to use it in the condition it is in then the waffle will stick to the plate...

Best thing to do is to trash the old one and then buy a new one...

If it doesn't fit then it is the wrong part.

Most non-commercial toasters are not user serviceable. There is likely a break in the element contact on one bank. If you like to tinker, unplug, dismantle and re-solder any questionable connections. Replacement is probably your only practical option.

The knobs are friction fit, so they just pull off. Some of them can be on very tight, but just pull straight out very hard and it should come off.

The Toaster have an electric plate for each side of toasting. So the right one is burn out and you need to replace it with new one

most likely the recirculating pump is jammed or has failed... ive been in service industry for 18 years and actually have a kitchen aid stainless steel ice machine myself.... if you get into unit and remove the resorvoir and white plastic shield around pump which is located on right side normally.. then there is 3 1/4 inch screws to remove from the pump and the water line usually attached on side of pump plate just unsnap... unplug the molex plug and pull out... you can check impellar for scaling and or build up turn with hand.. if you think you free it up clean real well and test with a power cord while out. you will have to rig something to the molex plug and plug into a 110 outlet and test... if it is bad get you a new one and replace.... this is a common problem ...good luck to you
