Have a65962 kenmore dryer the top of dryer gets

probably a stuck dryer element relay! unplug it and don't use it again until you get it fixed! or replace it!
not worth your life to keep using it! electric dryers are cheaper to replace than gas dryers! don't know how old it is, but if still under warranty, have kenmore fix or replace it! don't use it again!!
good luck! stay safe!!

Slow drying time

very simple, do this test, take your vent hose off the back of your dryer, now dry a load of clothes, if it still takes a long time to dry, then you may need to replace your thermastats, if it works better, your vent hose was pushed in, or smashed or the vent from the wall to the outside is clogged.

I have the back panel off of the dryer yet I can

Hello, Above the heater tube there is a small metal clip..removing this will allow you to remove the heater and this is how you do it...

Remove the 2 screws under the lint filter then with a putty knife lever up the top panel. lean the top panel back and on the left side just above the drum you will see a screw...this is what is holding the clip above the heater housing..remove this screw and the wires and there you have it. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!! Mike

Dryer cuts out

Either a bad motor or power problem . If dryer has been there for a while and worked fine , then motor is bad . If dryer has recently gotten there , check the cord to make sure it's connected properly , and the wall receptical has 240 volts where it should be ( both 1/2 " straight terminals ) The " L " is ground .

My Kenmore Elite Oasis Dryer will not start

Here are some of the common reasons why you might be having this aggravating issue. If your dryer doesn't work at all, it could be because of problems with:

Power from the house
Door switch
Thermal fuse
Wiring
Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Whirlpool 110.76722690 gas clothes dryer spins but

First, check that the ignitor is working properly. If it is working properly, it should glow an orange color when activated. If the ignitor is defective, it will need replaced. If the ignitor is working properly, the problem is most likely the gas valve coils. These small black coils are situated directly above the gas valves. These solenoids, when energized, open the gas valves and permit the burner to light. If any are defective, the valves cannot open and the burner cannot light. Due to the difficulty in testing these solenoids, it is best to replace both (all) of them at once if they are suspected of being faulty. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Kenmore 90 series electric dryer. Buzzez when you

Thermostat controls heat. There is also a motor centrifulgal switch, in the element circuit, that the motor closes to insure the motor is turning. Try another heat setting. There is more than one thermostat. You may have blown the 'thermal fuse' too, which requires replacement.

Tripped high limit. Must clean the lint filter and the exhaust vent tube and all the way in to the dryer. Hot air exit is restricted.

Kenmore 90 electric dryer drum does not turn

Yes it should turn by hand and may be easier one direction than the other. It could be as simple as something stuck in the blower preventing the fan from turning. This also stops the motor from turning. Worst case is a froze bearing on the motor but I would pull the fan cover off and see what is in there.
Eric

Let me know what you find as I have found some very interesting things in the fan over the years....

Dryer will not work1

Squeaking noise often indicates problem with drive belt. If belt broke, drum will no longer rotate. Belt is similar to fan belts used in autos. Ck Sear's website for parts diagram of yr dryer. If it shows a drive belt, I would start there.

How to install web cam without using cd?

Many web cam manufacturers have the most updated drivers available for download from their website. Try to identify the make and model if possible, usually imprinted on a label on the bottom of back of webcam. Download and run the driver installer before plugging in the webcam.

If not, you can try using the windows update function to try to install a generic driver that might be compatible with your web cam. Plug in the webcam and allow the windows installer to check the internet for drivers.

You wont have all the applications that might be on the full installation CD, but you should be able to use the webcam for instant messaging and other general apps that are cam compatible.

Push to start switch only works when held in.

Hi, THe control panel has an end cap that needs to be popped off. Just pull the end cap from the top and it should release. Then you will find a screw on each end that needs to be removed. Now the control panel will raise up and rest on the hinges.
This switch should not have an effect on heating.
Remove the front lower front panel and you can test the heating element. Check voltage to the element and you should get 240V. If there is now voltage, check each of the thermostats and the fuse for continuity. If the thermostats or fuse have no continuity, replace it.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Push to start switch only works when held in.

Go thru the back to access the push to start via 1/4 inch screws. More than likely the push to start isnt the problem with the heat issue. i would lean towards the motor relay and the heater relays that are on this unit
