Intel DG43NB Motherboard Questions & Answers
I have installed windows 7 on my PC.I have DG43NB
Have you checked to see if there are any pending software upgrades that have not been done or have started and not finished. A lot of the time that is the problem. Also check to see if your security is scanning and is not finished.
DG43NB not care VGA GTX 295
If the issue is related to hanging the power cables, they are putting too much stress on the motherboard and have broken the solder joints.
2*2GB (4GB) ddr2 shows up as 2*1GB ddr2 (2GB)
It could be a problem if you are running a 32 bit operating system. I know that there is a limit of around 2gb on any 32bit windows install. this can be fixed by installing a 64bit version, IF your hardware supports it. You would need a 64bit cpu to install 64bit windows. If this is not the reason you are having the problem, the only other reason that would make sense would be that your motherboard doesnt support more than 1gb of ram per DIMM hence it shows that two are insalled but can only use one gb each. This i think is the more logical answer because I think the limit on GB for win 32bit was more like 3gb. good luck
Intel (2*2gb) 4gb only showing (2*1gb) 2gb

first you will need to select the manufacturer from a drop down list then select your product line from a drop down list then select the model then click find it will take you directly to compatible ram also you will have an option to scan your system
you should always ask for a guarantee on the compatibility before making any purchase and try to buy for working pairs if possible

The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP.
The FIX.
Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

Test or replace your PSU power supply unit
one bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems continually rebooting or failing to detect your drive
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps?
Not Supported RAM 4 GB in my pc
Old motherboards do not support 4GB RAM, usually will show up as 3.25 GB usable. Your best option is to search for a bios update for the mobo from the manufacturer.
I dont't get display in my moniter my board is
check the ram to know if it is actually working or sitting properly.......check the VGA port...........try another monitor on your board........lastly try the monitor on another board and if it works you board is bad
I installed the DG43NB mother board and it is not
Boot her up with a xp cd in the cd/dvd drive. She will take boot sector from there. Problem is that you mounted a SATA drive on an old IDE motherboard and used an additional PCI interface card that misfires
too fast or to slow to get xp's boot sector. Had such a case under my hands few months ago. This was the solution there.
Copied xp to a separate DVD and uses this to boot system, pc will only use boot sector from this and then use installed sata drive. Once fired up you can tempoerarily remove that CD/DVD and use for tasks.
Your problem lies in an older BIOS or older component. Maybe there is a later version.
BIOS flashing is tricky. Be sure to have backup before flashing. No experience leave it.
I have installed windows 7 series now my
Your front audio panel needs motherboard or computer case specific drivers.
Go to the manufacturers website and get the board or chipset drivers that are compatible with Windows 7.
HEADPHONE IS NOT WORKING
From what you are saying the headphones have a broken wire on the side not working or they are bad. Check the wires in your headphones and that will tell you if the headphones are bad.
Intel DG43NB green LED
Congratulations on starting to build your own PC. In time, and after a lot of reading and experience, you should become very proficient in it. It should also save you a LOT of $$.
Anyways, just wanted more clarification for your question. You say when you turn on the PC the only thing that comes on is the green LED. The thing is that the green LED comes on usually whenever the motherboard is connected to power. It indicates that the board is getting power, NOT that it is on. What do the fans do? Do the drives start up? Do you hear them spinning? Is everything plugged in right?
If nothing like that happens, it could be as simple as you having the wrong pins for the power button. Double check them. Maybe even try another power button you might have laying around, or just touch the two leads/pins with a piece of metal to complete the circuit, then remove the piece when it turns on. (Is that what you mean by the "screwdriver trick", try it with a wire or staple, tends to work better).
If you do that and nothing happens, its one of two things, the Power Supply (which you say you are confident in because you have used other PSUs) or the motherboard (which it seems you are leaning towards, but it may not be the problem). I VERY rarely see a motherboard not do anything. Usually the fans fire up, but the board is shot. I have almost NEVER seen a board not do anything if its getting good power. And if it does do absolutely nothing, usually the LED doesn't come on at all.
Double check the pins, and let us know what happens.
