Defective FUSER

First you must fix what is wrong with the machine.
If it needs Toner or a Drum you must replace these so the machine can print what it has in memory. If there is a problem and you have an error code this must be fixed before the machine can print the pages.

It is not finding a dial tone. Check the line with a regular phone.

Try unplugging the power cord for 24 hours.

Does it have a dial tone?

ya u r correct .there is one small gear is in the ADF replace that one

u will not find any reseting procedure in boooklet.

check fax mode is it in fax only?

1 Press Menu/Set.
2 Press 0.
3 Press 2.
4 Enter the last two digits of the year on the
dial pad, and then press Menu/Set.
(e.g. Enter 0, 7 for 2007.)
5 Enter the two digits for the month on the dial
pad, and then press Menu/Set.
(e.g. Enter 0, 3 for March)
6 Enter the two digits for the day on the dial
pad, and then press Menu/Set.
(e.g. Enter 0, 1.)
7 Enter the time in 24-hour format on the dial
pad, and then press Menu/Set.
(e.g. Enter 1, 5, 2, 5 for 3:25 P.M.)
8 Press Stop/Exit.

I believe this is a fuser issue, the fuser is not heating properly or evenly. It probably also means your dumping a lot of toner into your fax and you may start to notice streaking after a while.

"Plese open cover" ...check ADF, AND REMOVE PAPER TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS JAMMED. Switch power off for 10 seconds then back on again.

First make sure your phone line cable get dial tone.
If your phone cable connected to fax via splitter then you need to connect phone cable to direct to fax.
If still same issue then you need to RESET fax system.
Also enable Auto response to fax .
Then check.

press menu *2864 in quick succesion, it will enter test mode, then exit out of test mode by pressing 99, that hopefully will do it
