Brother PE-150V Computerized Sewing Machine Questions & Answers
The top thread is being
top thread tension is not tight enough
the tension is correct when you feel resistance as you pull the thread to put it through the eye of the needle
Brothers pe150 embroidery machine will not sew
If you tighten up your needle thread, reduce the tension of the needle thread.
For embroidery, and zig-zag, and because the needle makes side movements, it needs more needle thread.
So try to keep you needle thread not very tight,
and tight up your bobbin case tension more, so that the two threads meet under the meterial.
Bottom thread not picking up!!
try turning the bobbin the opposite direction and if that doesn'thelp the it would be a good idea to have the machine serviced..

Brocken belt
Take it in, the belt is inside along with elelctronic components that are seriously deadly to those inexperienced with electronics. Also machines with inside belts are very easy to knock out of timing. So spend the $$ and have it replaced and the machine serviced and adjusted while you are there.
Set the timing
take off the bottom cover by removing 4 20 trox screws and 2 or 4 small phillips screws, the bottom part of the hook has two allen screws on it that can come loose causing you to lose timing, lower the needle all the way and then raise it a little bit putting the tip of the hook just above the eye of the needle and then tighten the allen screws and add some lock tight
Time janome 3018?
when you say 'bobbin thread bunches' i take it that when you look at the underside of what you have sewn it looks messy. if this is the case and the machine is threaded correctly and the the needle thread is tight enough to bend the needle a little when pulled (with presser foot down) it will most likely be that you need to increase needle tension (maybe to max) when sewing thick fabrics with thicker than normal thread.
if the the needle does not bend a little you may not have the thread in between the tension discs, or there may be thread or lint caught in the tension discs preventing proper tension (try pulling a thin rag through the tension discs to dis-lodge any foreign matter).
