Skipping stitches?
skipped stitches is usually an indication of timing of hook and needle being off. The needle is not always picking up the bobbin thread. Suggest that it be serviced by an authorized Husqvarna Viking Dealer. You can find the nearest dealer by click on the "Dealer" link at

Good luck.

Machine needs maintenance
Unless it's broke, about the only servicing needed is occasional lubrication. Access to the rotating parts that need the lubrication requires removal of the plastic housing (front and back) of the machine. Try your hand at removing the covers. If you can't get past that, take it in for servicing.
How to thread bobbin
- Place a spool of thread securely on the spool pin.
- Take the thread to a thread guide that is closest to the spool pin but heading for the bobbin and guide the thread into the guide.
- There will be some sort of a guide that may look like a button or disk, that the thread will go under or between to hold tension on the thread before it goes to the bobbin.
- If the bobbin has a hole in the side of it, thread the hole so the tail of thread is on the outside of the bobbin and place the bobbin on the final part of the bobbin winding area.

Hand wheel not moving
Check bobbin area. Clean feed dogs with brush to remove lint balls & any loose threads. Use gentle back and forth motion on hand wheel to see if you can loosen debris. Be VERY gentle so you don't interfere with timing. Usually you will bring up one thread caught in feed dogs and you can sweep it out. If that's case here, I recommend inserting new needle, flat side back and make sure you raise presser foot before rethreading to open tension discs.
Good luck.
