if you bought them at "Road-Ranger" truck stop in Hampshire,Ill. yes that's what you have to do,read the paperwork it will tell you for sure where to send them,also photo-copy receipt to send along in the return package

There is a "squelch" control (may be a ring around the volume knob) that controls whether the radio thinks there is a signal to listen to. Adjust this until you don't hear the static (it should cut off all at once, that is where you want the control set).

I think you have aconnection problem, make sure the contacts to the batteries are clean , failing this check the switch and /or clean contacts with crc or a similar liquid,

If the second units are not working check power in those units, ar eyou sure they are on the same channel? also make sure the antennas are connected correctly.

Dear sir, try to operate ur radio in different channel ,( ur operating area seems to be have so dense radio smog ..if u are located near some border where ur adjacent frequency is in use this cud be the problem .
first try in low power channel ( 8-14) ..if it solves ur problem ok ur u try to contact ur seller , & get it replaced if its under warrenty period.

Open the unit & check PTT switch check it by manually closing the circuit ..it will come in tranmission mode .i think ur PTT switch is out of order & nothing else .

Yes sir, when u will open the set u can find two potentiometers , one is for tranmitter another for receiver . Try adjusting the same ( second radio should be transmitting ) do not switch one radio without antennae it may burn ..

If radios are brand new then I would take them back to the store for warranty exchange. The other opton is to vist a local radio service center and ask the tech to jump the battery. if the battery falls below a certain voltage it might need a quick jump sart from a power supply with a higher voltage normally 12 volts works well...

This is an unfortunate situation. this normally happens when the radio CPU is damaged by water or some other factor. If this was a more expensive radio I would tell you to send it in to the factory but this type of radio is a low teer radio. Basicly a throw away.

You may have the CTCSS privacy code function enabled on one radio and not on the other. This function keeps your radio's received muted unless it receives a signal from another radio using the same privacy code. If you have Privacy Codes set for radio A but not for radio B you will still be able to transmit from A to B but when you transmit on radio B your signal will not be heard on radio A.

Make sure that both radios are set to the same privacy code or that the function is turned off on both radios.

Double check against all the instructions - in particular, make sure the batteries are charged according to "before first use" spec, that the volume is turned up, and that the squelch (if fitted and not automatic) is adjusted properly. If it still doesn't work, take it back to Wal-Mart. If the product doesn't work, there's no need for the packaging to be in good condition - it's not as if they'll be needing it to resell the goods to anybody else. A.
